With industrial development, water resources are becoming scarce and water pollution is making clean water more scarce. Therefore, monitoring the flow of small and medium-sized rivers has become particularly critical. This not only helps us understand the current water situation, but also provides critical information to minimise damage when natural disasters such as floods and typhoons strike. At the same time, for rivers that cross different administrative regions, flow monitoring data can also help solve the problem of water allocation.


The Smart River System consists of the following core components:


Water level and flow monitoring: using ultrasonic or radar equipment to measure water levels and flows.


Water quality monitoring: real-time detection of water quality parameters such as pH, temperature and pollution indicators.


Video monitoring: Cameras record images and videos of key points in the river and data is transmitted over a 4G network.


Power supply system: The system can be powered by either solar or mains electricity.


Data transmission: Monitoring data is sent to the cloud via GPRS.


Data access: Users can view the data remotely through the cloud platform or mobile phones, and the data can also be sent to the supervisory authorities.


The river flow monitoring system has the following functions:


Able to monitor the flow rate, water temperature, flow direction and water level of the river in all-weather.


Able to calculate the flow rate of the river in real time according to the monitoring data.


Able to complete the collection of water data, flow calculation, data storage and transmission.


Able to send water level, flow rate, flow rate and status information of the monitoring station to the control centre through the communication network.
