The Advantages of the Odor Online Monitor

Article source:Weather station   time:2024-09-12 13:30:49    viewed:1times

The Odor online monitor is capable of providing continuous 24-hour monitoring of specified pollution areas or conducting intermittent monitoring as needed, to meet various monitoring requirements. The system can detect a range of standard indicators, including but not limited to the Odor Concentration OU value, ammonia, styrene, hydrogen sulfide, VOCs, trimethylamine, methyl mercaptan, dimethyl sulfide, dimethyl disulfide, and carbon disulfide as stipulated in the GB14554 standard. These monitoring data can be uploaded in real-time to the monitoring platform, quickly pinpointing the source of pollution and providing a scientific basis for the tracing and prevention of odor pollution. When the detection of odoriferous gases exceeds the standard, the system will automatically send out alarms, effectively reducing the delay associated with manual monitoring.

Traditional manual monitoring methods involve on-site sampling, laboratory processing, and multiple olfactory tests, which are not only time-consuming but also cannot achieve real-time monitoring.

The Odor online monitor can automatically monitor around the clock without interruption and transmit data in real-time to the monitoring system, providing immediate data support for the tracking and control of odors. In contrast, traditional manual monitoring methods require a significant amount of labor and time to carry out sampling, dilution, and other steps, and also demand a high level of olfactory ability from the panelists. If a panelist has a cold or other conditions affecting their sense of smell, they will be unable to participate in the detection work for the day.

The Odor online monitor supports remote monitoring capabilities, allowing monitoring data to be transmitted remotely, so that staff can monitor in a safe environment, avoiding the risk of direct contact with harmful gases. In comparison, traditional manual monitoring methods require samplers to personally go to the site for sampling of odoriferous gases, which not only increases the difficulty of the work but also brings potential health and safety risks.
