Remote Rain Level Monitoring for Small and Medium Rivers

Article source:Weather station   time:2024-09-04 14:29:17    viewed:2times

Exceeding the warning water level in small and medium-sized rivers is mainly caused by heavy rainfall, river characteristics, and insufficient flood control facilities. Heavy rainfall, especially concentrated rainfall in a short period, can cause river levels to rise rapidly. Small and medium-sized rivers, due to their short river channels and fast water flow, are prone to sharp changes in water levels. The flood control facilities of these rivers may not be perfect, and the early warning systems also face challenges, leading to difficulties in flood prevention and response.

Remote Rain Level Monitoring adopts an open network architecture that integrates Internet of Things, cloud computing, and mobile Internet technologies to achieve real-time online management of hydrological information. The system can remotely transmit data to the monitoring cloud platform via a wireless network, providing hydrological monitoring stations, agricultural and forestry departments, defense units, and field reporting stations with raw data on key parameters such as precipitation, precipitation intensity, and precipitation duration. It also provides real-time and valuable data for flood control, water supply scheduling, power station operation, and reservoir water level management.

This remote telemetry device is designed to be multifunctional and low power, especially suitable for areas with harsh environmental conditions. It can monitor key parameters such as water level, rainfall, images, water quality, flow velocity, and flow rate, providing convenience for hydrological monitoring in remote mountainous areas. Due to the inconvenient transportation in these areas, traditional manual observation methods are time-consuming and labor-intensive, and it is difficult to ensure the real-time update and accuracy of the data.

Remote Rain Level Monitoring is powered by solar energy, ensuring stable operation even without an external power source. It also has an alarm function for exceeding standards, which can timely issue an alarm when the monitored data exceeds the preset threshold. This provides the possibility for timely response measures and enhances the practicality and early warning capability of the system.
