Wheat Armyworm Monitor: Empowering Farmers with Precise Pest Data

Article source:Weather station   time:2024-12-31 09:41:15    viewed:2times

The wheat armyworm is a pest that causes severe damage to crops, especially wheat. When it breaks out, it can quickly devour the leaves of the crop, leading to stunted growth and a significant decline in both yield and quality. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the effective monitoring and management of the wheat armyworm.

As a pest monitoring tool, the Wheat Armyworm Monitor incorporates photoelectric and numerical control technologies and has multiple functions such as automatic pest body processing, automatic photo shooting, and automatic light control. This device can independently perform tasks such as attracting pests, exterminating pests, taking photos, collecting samples, and draining water without the need for human attendance.

The shell of this monitoring and reporting instrument is made of stainless steel and has undergone spray coating treatment, ensuring its durability and adaptability to various environments. It is equipped with a 7-inch color touch screen that supports Chinese operation and can automatically or manually take photos at preset times. It runs on the Android operating system and can display the ambient temperature, humidity, and time. The device is embedded with a 12-million-pixel high-definition camera that can capture and record images of the pests on the pest tray in real-time. The pests are evenly dispersed on the collection tray, and the device can also vibrate the collected pests to make them lie flat, facilitating image acquisition and counting. In addition, the monitoring and reporting instrument has a built-in grating counter that can monitor the number of pests in real-time and synchronously upload the data to the monitoring platform. It also has an automatic cleaning function that can sweep the photographed pests into the collection bin.

All monitoring data and alarm information can be transmitted to a remote server via the Internet, facilitating remote monitoring and device management. The device is also integrated with GPS and Beidou navigation systems, enabling the positioning of the device's specific location on a map. The Wheat Armyworm Monitor has applications in multiple fields, including agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, horticulture, tobacco cultivation, tea production, medicinal material cultivation, urban greening, and plant quarantine. Its automated and intelligent monitoring functions provide accurate data support for pest management, helping farmers implement prevention and control measures in a timely manner, protecting crops, and reducing losses.
